  • About Justin Bieber

Born in March 1994, Justin Bieber is a well known pop sensation, who writes many of his own songs, from Canada.  Discovered in 2008 by Scooter Braun, who was later to become the star's manager, Justin was introduced to the likes of Usher, another, more experienced musician, which soon led to a singing with record company, Island Records.

His first ever single, One Time, was released to the world in 2009, where it hit the top ten in the Canadian singles chart, and the top 30 in many other international markets.

Due to this success, Bieber went on to release many other songs and albums, including Baby, which was released in January 2010, and is the one that you are currently looking at learning to play. The music video of this track was the most viewed and talked about video on YouTube, with many negative reviews, up until the release of Rebecca Black's track, Friday.

Raised single handedly by his mother, Patricia Lynn Mallette, Bieber has continued contact with his father, Jeremy Jack Bieber, who has since married again, giving Justin both a stepmother and half siblings.

When he was just 12 years of age, Bieber entered a singing competition that was local to his are, choosing to cover Ne-Yo's track, So Sick, and coming in second. His mother had chosen to video her son's performance, and uploaded it onto YouTube, for relatives and friends to view.
