Celebrities are the last people who should be role models, I understand not every teen can have a functional parental figure in their life... But certainly they can find someone within their day to day lives much more befitting of the role unto which someone may model themselves on.
Celebrities more often than not are just as, if not more screwed up in the head than the average person. And furthermore, why do we need to find our examples in external sources?
Doesn't a dog know not to pee on the carpet at some point? Can't we exert our superior mental capabilities to do about the same, without the complication of a role model to instruct us?
