Why Did Britney Spears Shave All Her Hair Off?

Britney shaved her head because on a subconscious level she wants the whole world to know that she's not what the media sees: pretty, slutty and so on. She wants to show the world what she really is, on the inside.
Though she has been through so much, the battle scars that she's proud of are not shown on her exterior. She can symbolise and show the world what she's been through and I think she's proud of herself because she exhibited so much inner strength. That's why she got tattoos.

Britney's a great person. She's very gentle even with all the paparazzi invading into her private space, humiliating her etc. I would have punched, stabbed or throw a chair at the paparazzi.

Britney shaved her head because she had lice. She had hair extensions and couldn't get the lice comb through it. The only way to get rid of the lice was to shave her head.

I think it's a way of stopping her from being drug addict.

Britney Spears had no control over her actions what so ever. She had a lot of rage at the time she had the umbrella!

Stories in the papers say that it could be a form of self loathing, ie, self harm. They also say that it displays exhibitionism and her need for attention.
On a more serious note she has been moving between different rehabs. Poor girl. It's bad enough having a breakdown, but having it transmitted around the world isn't fun.

It's unfortunate that she find herself in a situation which she doesn't deserve at all. She couldn't take the mental pressure that she was passing through. Her personal life has been shattered so badly that she was not within herself. Hope she would recover soon from the trauma and back to normal life.

Talking about needing more attention than you already have! But this one takes the cake. All I can see is Britney has kids and she should be more responsible. It is evident that she got bit by a strange fashion bug. It was a desperate attempt to get noticed in the media. A usually outrageous form of behaviour on the part of a celebrity garners a lot of media attention. She wanted it, she did but then she had to live with the criticism too.

Someone payed her 2md to shave

Britney Spears shaved her head because she "didn't want to be touched anymore". She shaved her head herself and later got two tattoos - one on her hip and one on her neck.

To update this bizarre story even more - Britney Spears has had statement released which says that she shaved all her hair off because it was infested with lice!

I have also heard that she shaved her head as a way of being "out with the old and in with the new".

I think she cut her hair of because she was very sick and felt very confused. However I don't like her look without hair and think she looks very ugly.

I'd say it's because she is overly depressed due to the competition in the showbiz/music world.

She did it because she was depressed and had a break down. She feels that everyone will leave her. At the moment she just needs a really good friend to talk to.

She totally lost her way. She was diagnosed as bipolar and pretty much had a mental breakdown.

Because she's having this serious case of split ends. It just keeps coming back no matter how she cuts her hair shorter. So she went bald.
