There are loads of different covers of the Jackson Five hit - which in fact was written in 1971 with the Supremes in mind. (I just can’t imagine the Supremes doing it justice). I think the young Michael Jackson, age just 11 when he recorded this, did a superb job.
You can take your pick of the other versions. I suppose Gloria Gaynor’s disco rendition is one of the better known ones - but I like the soulful sound of Isaac Hayes - so deep and passionate!
