I think that Ray already gave you the right answer. The song is Oh Well by Fleetwood Mac:

"Now, when I talked to God I knew he'd understand
He said, "Stick by my side and I'll be your guiding hand
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to"

It is quite a long piece, divided into two parts ( part 1 lasting 2:19 and part 2 lasting 5:39) and during concerts, only part 1 was played! This song was in peak position in the UK Charts in 1969. Some people think that "Part 1" is one of the early mix between blues rock and heavy metal. Anyway, it is a pretty good song! (:
