It might have been a joke, but it also might not.

There is little to suggest that Cameron Dallas is particularly religious. He has tweeted a couple of times on the topic, demonstrating that he is a Christian:
Another point to consider is the commercial value that people like Cameron have. They can be paid thousands of dollars for mentioned a product in one of their videos. From an advertisers view point, it is often advisable to remain "neutral" in terms of being too outspoken about topics such as religion, which can alienate fans.
This may be cynical though... It may just be that he doesn't have particularly strong views, or prefers to keep them to himself!
