Differences between a 4D and a 3D? My cousin said we are watching a 4D movie.. same as 3D?

You are not watching a 4D movie. There is no such thing. The fourth dimension is very complicated, so movies are not in 4D. And anyway, they would be impossible to watch given that our minds can only perceive three dimensions.

He may have meant 4K which is ultra HD - 4x's the resolution,

I didn't realise that there was such a thing as a 4D movie. It will probably add a new dimension to the movie that will involve another one of your senses, such as smell. Good luck to you.
