Skip, Clutch Cargo was a limited cartoon, almost like stop action. The cartoon characters had human mouths dubbed in and there were also live shots of airplanes flying mixed in with the cartoon. Weird but awesome.

Voltron  (Power Rangers are a rip off of it, IMO)

There was another anime I don't recall the name of, but they had powersuits - and a "converted" battleship and aircraft carrier that would go into space and could combine to form a giant robot.

When I was a kid there were very few cartoons on the TV on this side of the Atlantic. (And my mum didn't really approve of watching TV on a Sunday, anyway).

My favourites have already been mentioned but there are a few that still stick in the memory. This one could never be called a favourite but it's not a bad example of the propaganda that was being churned out by Hollywood (and others) during WWII. Here's Donald Duck getting into Der Fuhrer's Face.
