It's already tomorrow in Australia so I guess you want to know my plans for today.

I'm planning to panic.

About 45 years ago we planted a nice little tulip tree in our back garden. It's a pretty big garden but it turned out to be a pretty big tree. Like Topsy, it just growed.

On Wednesday it's coming down and today we have to save as much as possible of the landscaped garden that surrounds it.

The tree only flowers for about two or three weeks every year, in October, and this one will never flower again. (Can we hear a heartfelt sigh from everybody, please. C'mon. All together. "Ahhhhh..."

Thank you so much.

And, as a reward for your sympathetic sighing, here's a photograph of one of the tulips.

I am having a "quiet day". My husband is spending the day with his brother and I am going to be home all alone. Well not totally alone. My pup will be here to keep me company. My husband is hard of hearing and even though he watches TV in his "mancave" it is so loud I often can't hear what I am watching in the living room.

Even if I am not watching anything, his TV is just too loud for me to just sit and relax. And he loves to watch movies with lots of explosions. It really wears on my nerves sometimes.  I used to get peace and quiet when he went to work, but he retired about two years ago. Thankfully I have talked him into going to see a doctor about it. His appointment is on Friday.
