I didn't have much trouble with activating the Sears Card (since 88). I have a Bof A Mastercard that I've never activated. I must have been on the phone for 20 minutes or more with a recording telling me my cal was important and meanwhile would I like to buy a cruise somewhere, and then trying to sell me on some service and then bad music and so on. Finally decided I had enough active cards and just hung up.
