I like the show Shark Tank because I love seeing all these inventions people come up with. I am always thinking up inventions myself and write them down for fun. I have seen several of my inventions thought up by others years later.

American TV: NCIS, hands down. It mixes an unlikely group of goofy (or at least, flawed) characters with lots of action and dollops of humour.

British TV: Midsomer Murders. It's a spoof and doesn't pretend to be anything else. Lots of laughter, lots of understated humour, and the most bizarre collection of murder weapons ever foisted on viewers, anywhere.

Australian TV: I'll let you know if I find one I like. In Oz our producers seem locked into either soaps or reality TV. We had one exceptional quiz show ("Million Dollar Minute") but that wen't down the gurgler and was replaced by a poor attempt to copy the BBC's "The Chase".

@Happy: I don't think it's screened in the US. Virginia found some episodes at her library (when she was living in Des Moines) and Yosey picked one up somewhere.

@Otis: Well, yeah. But even comedy should be a little bit plausible and NOBODY would believe the Trump vs Hilary show. It's just too far out. I mean, in real life you'd never see those two leading the race for POTUS.

You can Midsomer Murders on PBS. I never seem to catch it at the begining and so I feel like I am missing something when I have watched it. My mom likes though.

Thanks, Gator Blu. Good to know. A lot of the humour is very subtle and if you only watch occasionally it's very easy to miss something.
