I've been to the circus a few times when I was a young kid. I don't like them because of the way they treat their animals. Any wild animal in captivity and controlled by humans is a slow death.
What experience(s) have you had with circuses?
I stopped going to circuses. I don't believe in exploiting animals for entertainment.
I worked in a circus for a few summers in my teens (I was the youngest sword swallower in the world at one point, but sadly never got around to making it official). No animals were involved though, just a few well loved poodles that belonged to the ringmasters daughter.
None and I'd like to keep it that way.
Saw one in the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium when I was 8 or 9. (circa 1953). All I really remember is the box of Crackerjacks with the prize inside.

Sarah! I have only been to a circus once and it was pretty average! It was
everything that I had earlier seen on TV and nothing really surprised me to be
franc. Something did upset me and it was the use of animals. I am totally
against the practice and I do hope it will soon get banned!
