We were watching NCIS LA recently and a Chinese man named Hung was being interviewed. Sam walked in and said, "Well, Hung..." Cracked us up. What sort of thing makes you laugh?

My friend just told me a joke that made me laugh..... It is a cute one! LOL! Here it is.....

What did the lovestruck cat say to the man of her dreams?

O Romeow, Romeow, wherefore art thou Romeow?

That earned a big smile. Here's a little verse to go with it...

He took her to a restaurant,
Romeo and Juliet;
He had no cash to pay the debt
So Romeowed and Julie et.

Dear Didge,

I don't actually know if I was laughing, more like kinda green around the gills...but I have gotten caught by the late-night trolls on Blurtit, posting their questions under highly suggestive usernames...

I go along, all this great research just waxing away...composing great answer and addressing them by name...well it was HappyTwo who pointed out the explicit sexual reference of the username...I did not even realize just trusting everybody - and got schnockered...again (sigh).

Oh Dozy! You just caused some SERIOUS disillusionment... because, I have an imaginary angel, her name is Merrilee, and she goes to Monterey Bay (you know, where Steinbeck wrote) and she looks for the slithy toves as they gyre and gimbel in the wabe's of Monterey Bay...

Except that Merrilee is an Angel of the Morning (you know the song?) and you have just pointed out that brillig is the twilight...
I thought that "brillig" must be well, brilliant or something...like a brilliant sunrise...so we were all right, here...

Poor Merrilee, she is so upset right now to find this all out that she is doing Immelman turns and losing contrails of feathers... all at the speed of light (she really is an amazing angel).

And who was it on Blurt the other day asking if we had imaginary playmates AS CHILDREN???

Virginia, I'm so sorry to spoil it for you. As for Imaginary playmates I remember a quote from an Australian poet who wrote about "the wisdom you lost when your whiskers began". I knew exactly what he meant.

Well...isn't that what friends are for...telling each other the (sniff) TRUTH...even when it is difficult...

The wordplay that you mentioned in your question is my kind of humor. I just bought a tablecloth that has a world map woven into it and I noticed that the country of Colombia is misspelled. It was spelled Columbia. Catching those kind of errors also make me laugh.

Plenty of room for laughter there, Hippy. Some misquotes and misspellings are hilarious.

Hay now! I think you missunderstood the word misspellings here! LOL!

I enjoy dark slightly twisted humour .....this is the funniest thing I've seen lately. I know some people may find it offensive....but if you can't laugh at how " whack" the world is........;)

The clothing...oh yes! I can remember learning the proper length of a skirt, falling just at the full of your calf line...
Life has been difficult and scary for me, and yes I am glad to have grown up in those simpler times...formative years then.

I think you've had a much more interesting life so far than I have Virginia :) but I'm gonna catch up :) I think life should be scary ! It builds a beutiful character :) unless it's scary in the way of some guy coming at you wearing a hockey mask and carting a chainsaw..... I'd probably just pee my pants then and lay down and wait to die ... I don't see much room for life lesson in that senerio :/ well this is awefull cos I have to go to bed :/ .... I'm gonna go get my light saber from the basement.

Good night, dear Jaimie JT

Things that are random. I have a very dark twisted sense of humor. I was watching this show called Shameless, there is this character named Sheila who is suffering from Agoraphobia, she has been homebound for years. Very slowly she leaves her house one step at a time. Finally one day she is ready to overcome this and take on the world! She leaves her house, chin up, shoulders squared! She walks out onto the street, and a plane falls out of the sky in front of her!  I laughed so hard I cried.

You, say something mean to me? I don't think you've done that before. Well then, I'm glad it ended in laughter.

HI Janis, well I got it working...I of course being SUCH great technical excellence, it all took only about nine tries to download the update...seven computer restarts...going to the Adobe Flash website, their special instructions for "dummies"...(cough)

So now I will watch it!

That little boys eyes really told the story, didn't they. Nice one, Janis.

Virginia I often get blocked when somebody posts a video which only plays in the US. I usually get around it by going to YouTube and searching (as closely as possible) for what I think it's about.

It's also possible that, if you go to your private browsing window (or your incognito window on some browsers) the site will be unable to recognise where you're from and will play it for you. I haven't tried that one yet.

Yes...I loved it Janis; after all, who in their right mind would want a baby when you could have...a puppy!
Dozy I did not even know that, that some videos were confined to US!
