The most famous Gladiator would have to be Spartacus, but not necessarily for his success in the arena. Spartacus is famouse for leading a rebellion against rome. However, based off of what transpired in the Arena the most famous was most likely Commodus, the Roman emperor. He was boasted to have won a 1000 fights. Often at little risk to himself vs man and beasts.
