I remember Matt holding some of Jeff's dog's collar but I'm not sure if Matt had confessed to burning Jeff's house down. It's just a storyline but in real life Matt would never do something like this to Jeff. The fire started by faulty electrical wiring and it did kill Jeff's dog Jack.
