Justin Bieber tends to wear briefs or boxer briefs. When he appeared on the Ellen De Generes show in February this year, he flashed a pair of purple briefs to the audience. At a sound check in July 2010, he was also recorded saying he preferred to wear boxer briefs. However he has also been pictured wearing boxers in various situations as well. Bieber has also been pictured wearing Eagle underwear briefs. Debates amongst fans on the Internet appear to suggest that it is down to what type of trousers or jeans he is wearing. Jay Foreman, CEO of The Bridge Direct, is responsible for making Justin Bieber dolls. He describes the underwear the doll wears as boxer briefs. Speaking to thejustinbiebershrine.com, he said: "We got the sense that Justin wasn’t a tighty-whitey guy. We didn’t want to put him in a speedo. We thought boxer briefs were cooler.” He also stated that the underwear was painted on so as to avoid any jokes, although they were planning on making s short-boxer girl which would be removable.
