Once you start thinking about it, there are actually quite a few bands that are named after items of food or drink.

Here are a few that I've been able to come up with:

Bands named after food and drink
  • Bowling for Soup
  • Smashing Pumpkins
  • Korn
  • Reel Big Fish
  • Sugababes
  • Salt 'n' Pepa
  • Meat Loaf
  • Hot Chocolate
  • Bucks Fizz
  • Spice Girls
  • Peaches
  • The Cranberries
  • Bananarama
  • Vanilla Ice
  • Black Eyed Peas
  • Las Ketchup
  • Infected Mushroom
It's also worth noting that, there are bands out there whose names may be considered food items in certain countries - whilst not in others. This especially applies to nations with unusual cuisines and edible wildlife.

For example, the bands Whitesnake, Gorillaz or Pussycat Dolls might all be considered appetising band names depending on where you are in the world.

Even 'The Human League' could fall into this category if you were in the horror-metal band 'Rob Zombie'.
