Why don't you laugh when you tickle yourself?

When you get tickled you laugh as a natural panic response . When you tickle yourself you don't feel any real danger so you don't laugh.

When you tickle yourself your brain is aware of what you're doing. When somebody else tickles you, it catches you by surprise so you have more of a reaction.
