Where can I buy flowers from? Would it be better to buy from local flower farms or big chain stores?

I am a big fan of flowers - any kind, any time.

For me they make a house a home - no other ornamentation can add that 'something special' to your room- a visual focal point when guests arrive. So I always try to keep fresh flowers in my apartment whatever the season.

Whether you buy them from a flower farm of chain store is really a matter of choice - I always buy from a store near me - their flowers are first class and I've never been let down. They are guaranteed to last for at least a week - and that's good news. (To be honest sometimes I buy them when they've been reduced - I love a bargain!)

I don't live near a flower farm - but I think it would be fabulous to go and choose my own flowers - I'd be in seventh heaven! Probably spend too much money as well.

Most people buy specilaity flowers from farms that ship them in special containers so they arrive in the peak of fresh condition - you can buy fresh roses, daffodils and tulips out of season. Have you tried this?

We have a market very close by and there are at least four stalls which sell flowers - at first glance they seem a lot cheaper than my high class store- but beware!  In my opinion they don't last as long and I'm sorry to say when I've complained I've not been listened to.

On the other hand my chain store is more than happy to give me a replacement if flowers fall short on quality.

I love this short video - just over 2 minutes - it's absolutely beautiful

Whatever flowers you buy - where ever you buy them - they always bring Joy!
