There has been talk that Orange is the New Black's star, Alex Vause (actress Laura Prepon), would not be returning in the third series. However, OITNB fans will be pleased to know that she will in fact be present in every episode of the new series.
She plays a major part in the storyline and has recently spoken out informing her fans that she will be returning.
This is a relief to many as, by playing the main character, Piper's drug dealing ex girlfriend brought a lot of excitement and scandal to the show - something which would have been seriously missed had she not returned!
Fears that Alex would not be returning in the third series stemmed from the limited appearances of the character in series two. However this was only down to scheduling issues and Alex will be back in full force in series three, ready to mess up Piper's life some more.
Season three is currently in production and it will be full of Alex Vause. When asked if she would be in the third series more she answered “Yes, definitely, and I’m really excited because I missed everybody so much during season 2,”.
Prepon also claimed she would be in all 13 episodes.
