I would like to know how to get a romantic comedy movie made starring Will Ferrell and I would like to have Barry Manilow appear in that film playing himself and saving the day and I would like Hollywood to make it, how can you get it done?

Well, I think you've got a bit of a job on your hands putting all that together, but if you're really keen, then you'll need the following...

 

Script. You can't make a movie unless you have a movie. So you'll need to write it yourself, or pitch your idea to a scriptwriter who will write it for you.

Cast and Crew. In addition to a writer, you'll also need a producer, director, camera and lighting, director of photography, post-production team... It's not just about getting Barry and Will in front of the camera, there's a whole team of people behind the scenes, too.

Money. Lots of it. You'll need to pay for production and distribution and wages for the cast and crew - and I'd imagine that Barry Manilow and Will Ferrell would command fairly big fees. 

It is thought that Ferrell got around $15million for Anchorman 2.

If this all seems a bit overwhelming, then I'd start with the script. If you have a good script that you can pitch to the right people, and get them interested, they will bring the other aspects together to get things rolling.

One idea would be to try and "crowdfund" the project by sharing your vision on social media. Who knows, if the idea goes viral, maybe Will Ferrell or Barry Manilow might spot your film concept, and volunteer their services.

Pitch it to a film director or producer (or anyone with good contacts in the film industry who can help you) and hope for the best. Good luck!
