When I downsized my house about 15 years ago, I didn't have any room for my "special stuff" (as my wife called it), so I gave it all to my oldest son. He has the same nostalgic feelings that I have and displays it all in a room in his house. 100's of vinyl LP's and 45's, 8 tracks and players, board games from my childhood, Erector Sets, the old chemistry sets in the metal cases and tons of other "special stuff". He has an 8 track player and speakers set up in his garage and listens to old rock and roll when he's working out there.
I'm a big fan of vintage, nostalgic and obsolete items. The Smithsonian Institute would be proud of me. So my question is... Do you still have any 8 track tapes? And if so, are you able to listen to them?
I have quite a stack of Life magazines and Popular Science magazines from the 30's and 40's in pristine condition. Also some good newspapers from WW2 and earlier. Also have quite a bit of WW1 and WW2 memorabilia also. Some great old restored pictures of my Grandpa. Geez, I have lots of old stuff!
I still have a box full of 8 track tapes but no way to listen to them
I have a box of 8 track tapes that are like new. They were ordered from BMG music club when they were popular. I have no way of playing them but I never got rid of them.
Don't have an 8 track but I like 80's music.
