I never understand why people think gore is creepy. I mean I guess cuz there is gore in horror. It's just the unbearable pain idea (dislike) and that's it. So.... any horror without gore? Gore is only necessary in horror for those who are lazy.

Alfred Hitchcock was a master of horror ... And there is very little gore in any of his movies.

Same with "old fashioned" campfire stories.  My cousin could tell stories so terrifying, nobody dared be alone in the dark ... But he never used gore.

Lol at first I thought you meant Al Gore. Imagine night of the living dead without gore. It's the shock of seeing gore that you react to.
