I still sit down for a day and fill out Christmas cards for friends and family that live far away from me. Some I call on the phone but mostly I mail cards.
Do you just send texts to people for Christmas and tell your friends Merry Christmas? Or send cards and letters? To me a letter or a card is worth millions in this day and age.
I send out an annual Holiday email to people that I don't see too often. I let them know what's going on in my life and to wish them the best.
My dad, on the other hand, would take my mom out to the card store and he would pick out the mushiest Holiday card and hand it to my mom and tell her to read it. When she was done, he'd tell her to put it back in the rack.
I'll send ecards to some, and snail mail cards to others!
I prefer cards. It makes it more special. Texting is going to be typical today! We text due so many excuses. If i suppose to makes this event and it's notes and wishes special and particular i need to prevent anything typical as high as text! But sending, gift boxes, gift cards, and such to those that i can't visit! However it depends! Sometimes i become unable to send anything through so I have to use text or at least better than that would be mail/snail mail.
For those people with an Internet connection (and about a dozen on my list don't have one) I send a JibJab card, personalised with our own photographs.
Have a look at this one from a couple of years ago. (Sorry, I can't embed it. You'll have to click on the link.) Didge's Christmas card.
You can find JibJab's home page by clicking here. They have a lot more than Christmas cards.
I still send out cards to family and friends.
I tell them "Merry Christmas" if I see them, and know they celebrate Christmas. Otherwise, I tell them "Happy Holidays" due to the various holidays at the same time.
I used to mail cards ... Until I found everybody was either discarding them without opening, or reusing them.
>> How do you reuse a Christmas card? You cut off the front, and use it as a post card the next year.
I still mail cards and sometimes photos to my loved ones at Christmas.
