No, not even when I was younger. I'm not in a hurry to see the latest films.
Did you see on the news where people are camping out by Theaters to be first in line to see the new Star Wars movie? Would you do that?
No, absolutely not. I've seen so many promotions for the "new star wars" that I really don't care if I even see it!
Never! It's little overreacting.
I'll go next week or the week after.
Saw an ad for it on TV yesterday, and at the bottom it said "Extended scenes, not seen in the US" Makes one wonder..
I just drove by the line yesterday. They are camping out in a really cool venue. Where they are is where every Star Wars movie debuted. Everyone is happy and celebratory. They are planning on watching all movies in order up against the main wall. People have tents and furniture, little barrel fires. The weather has been in the high 70's every day. It's beautiful. So yeah, absolutely I would. I haven't had to, but I've visited and hung out with friends who did. In Southern California we have a lot of famous venues here, and a lot of openings(Apple watch debuted here also), the weather is beautiful. Maybe it's an L.A. Thing.
Personally I choose not to be motivated by media hype. If I go to see the show it will be at a time of my own choosing.
But DON'T underestimate its value for those people who do camp out. For them it's exciting, it's an event, it's a party, it's a chance to be part of something that's more fascinating than the humdrum of our day-to-day lives. I'm just too ornery to join in. >;-/
No, but I'm staying up until like, 4am to see the midnight premiere on Tuesday or Wednesday.
I could see myself camping out for something like that ... If they had (say) a young Carrie Fisher, in her slave costume, doing a "meet and greet"
LOL
Around here they sold tickets in advance a few weeks ago so that wouldn't happen.
Nope, because unlike these people, I'm using this thing that just came out a few years ago called a job. They should try it out sometime.
