Did you use to like putting together a toy train track and running the cool electric train set?

My father use to have a decent sized track that he brought out at every Christmas. I loved watching that train. My Grandfather had a large train set that he put together that included cities, terminals, and even the countryside.

mine was just the stuff in a good sized foam box. the track had a bridge with the sides and lifts under too. and the houses or barns were there. the train cars were put together by hand. and the electric box connected to the on/off switch. and to the wall outlet too.

That was kind of like my dad's track. I loved it.

I had a massive train layout 24 years ago.  It was about twenty four feet by Fifteen feet. Had well over 100 feet of track, over 100 cars built from kits, and about 15 engines.b I built mountains and tunnels using plaster and paper towel over a chicken wire frame.  It was my stress reliever., I really liked working on It.
