Do you ever notice in movies when they take the lords name in vain? Like saying God bleep. And wouldn't that make a Christian mad?

For better or worse, that is how people talk in the real world.

If your God (or whichever god) IS God, He/She/It  can surely withstand such trifling. One could expect His faithful can as well.

Sorry, Megan, but many modern Christians misunderstand the term. To "take God's name in vain" means to swear an oath in his name and then fail to follow through on it.

Using the name of any of the myriad gods as cuss words isn't taking them in vain although I suppose that if I were to say, "Bloody God!" I would be taking his name in vein ... but that's quite different, isn't it?

I don't think I've ever heard anyone say "Jesus dam* it" or "Yahweh dam* it". God is not the name of your God (if you're christian, which it seems you are). If I say God dam* it, I may be referring to Zeus or Ahurah Mazda, maybe even Osiris. Your God does not have a corner on the TITLE of God.
