It's time to day dream. You're standing on top of a skyscraper, your cape is swaying in the wind. In the horizon the sun is settling beyond the shores and dusk is drawing upon the city. You look below you and there's group of hoodlums harassing a young couple taking a shortcut through the alley. You see one of the hoodlums draw a pocket knife, dusk overtakes the city and the alley is swallowed by darkness.

Why would you be standing on top of a skyscraper?

Having been high up in many tall buidings myself, I personally would have a bit of difficulty detecting a pocketknife drawn by an antlike figure amongst other antlike figures in a dark alley so many stories below.

I think the cape alludes to a superhero, perhaps the character has super-vision, which opens the dialogue to many ideas, all a tad far-fetched.

Correct! The cape does allude to the idea that you are a super hero, even though I never referenced this in the story. Most people will associate the cape with super powers and forget that there would be no way to see that much detail from a top a skyscraper.

Two things come to mind. If darkness has overtaken the alley, how is it possible to see the struggle below, especially from that height?  Second, the last sentence seems out of place. In my personal opinion, the last sentence should come before the description of the struggle as it is a description of the environment just like the first part. Otherwise, it is beautifully written!
