I would have to choose one of his older songs when he was with the great group : CREAM !
Yay music question !! :) my favourite Eric Clapton song is wonderful tonight. When I was in my early 20's I dated a guy who used to play that song on his guitar and sing it to me regularly. The night we broke up I ended up throwing that gutiar off a 6 storey balcony:) sooo that song reminds me of that night ... Good times ;) I'm a much calmer person now though, usually :p
Even though it is incredibly sad, and the reason he wrote the song is heartbreaking, I would have to say Tears in Heaven.
