What do you think about Bruce Springsteen cancelling his concert in North Carolina to take a "stand" against the "bathroom" law? Personally...if I had been a fan, I wouldn't be anymore.

To be honest ? I've never liked his music nor his views at all. This shows that he has so much money that he sure doesn't care about his fans either ! If he cared, he might say something before or during his concert about it. But he obviously doesn't care about his fans that do want to see him. This is getting out of hand !

I remember some years ago that the US refused to participate in one of the Olympic games.

While I am aware that a statement of principle sometimes needs to be made, given my personal history I am always saddened when that results in good people being greatly disappointed.

So I guess my comment is that I'm sorry that he felt the need to do that.

I was thinking along the same lines. I am not a fan, but had I bought tickets it would be disappointing....especially for that specific reason. I kinda feel there are a lot more pressing issues facing this country than that....priorities I suppose. Thanks for your answer.

I'm with Rooster on this. I have never been much of a fan of Springsteen (even in his prime, 30 years ago) though I can appreciate the betrayal his NC fans might feel if they perceive his political views are more important to him than loyal, ticket-buying fans. This doesn't punish anyone who enacted the controversial law. Why not just make a statement during the show?

Springsteen is a di*k. Who cares about his political views anyway? Is NC going to change the ruling just because he doesn't agree with it? I don't think so!!!

To me, Bruce Springsteen sounds more like a spoiled child that didn't get what he wanted. All this does is hurt his loyal fans. What is the government going to care if his concert isn't held here? If he wanted to take a stand, wouldn't it be more effective to mention it on stage?
