Adulation from fans is a kind of white noise. It's necessary for success, maybe even appreciated, but not the sort of thing anybody would react to. Of course, once in a while something useful may stand out and if that happens I'm sure they'll consider it.
One famous example was the little girl who told Honest Abe he'd look better with a beard and, a century and a half after his death, we still think of him with his uniquely styled whiskers.
True story or fable? Who knows, but it does illustrate the possibility.
