It's so cold this morning that my fingers don't want to type the right keys and that comment warmed my morning by at least 10 degrees. Thank you, all three, for your kindness.

Here's another medical term I'll throw at you. I have a large, fatty lump on my back. It's about four inches across and two inches high. I had it tested and my doctor claims it's a lipoma, but even she was prepared to be corrected when Mrs Didge diagnosed it as QMS. She's always looking out for me and didn't want me to have something as common as a lipoma. She says it's "Quasi Modo Syndrome".

Well I think Mrs. Didge is a phenomenon unto herself...being from a health care background, reading your description I had already registered in my mind..."Lipoma...harmless" - but QMS is so utterly creative...plus Mrs. D always seems to work in some kind of loving insult for you, Dozy...

She's kept me laughing for far longer than the last 50 years, Virginia. I think she's probably unique.

The only problem I see is not being able to discuss whatever show is popular with friends and coworkers. And if you don't watch the news at all you maybe lacking in current events, unless you are actually reading the articles on the internet and not just the headlines which are most often misleading.

The only problem I can see is perhaps having a useful and clear understanding of many of the moral dilemmas that adults face in life.

And let me assure you, while you may think that is an advantage, it is much easier to be just "one of the good-ole boys."

Only watching any "genre" of anything is very limiting .. No matter what it is.  Much better to have more "well-rounded" interests.

Depends on how they spend the rest of their time.

I spend maybe 1 hour a night watch television . . The rest of the time is . . Shall we say, more constructive . . . So if I spend that time just watching cartoons . . . So what.

When I binged watch "Attack on Titan" that was the only thing I watched for about a week . . . No big deal.
