Procrastinating on house work today ....and my nieces birthday party tomorrow :)
Saturday--working in the shop, building Christmas gifts.
Sunday--building a block retaining wall about 12 feet long and 4 feet high. I wish Mountain Man lived a little closer, I could use his help.
Today I have to pick up two pans of scrapple I ordered from a fire company fundraiser then strap the leafblower on ny back and spend a few hours doing that. Tomorrow I would love to help Ancient Hippy with his retaining wall, but I'm going to a birthday party for my 4 year old Granddaughter .
Saturday-Birthday dinner with my husband's family.
Sunday-Grocery shopping, taking some flowers and a card to my husband's stepmother.
Just staying at home today. It's cold and very windy outside. Tomorrow, I'll be going to my son's house to help him clean.
Cleaning cleaning cleaning. We gotta make it look like people don't live here so that all the snooty judgemental people can comfortably come over for thanksgiving. We are putting our stuff in storage! YEAH! 😝
Vaccum cleaned and then cleaned my vacum bag for my central vac ... Not my favourite job .. Now, I'm off to take another shower!
GAAADD I hate that job!
Here in the UK, Saturday is almost finished - but I did get rid of 10 bags of fallen leaves. I fixed my next door neighbour's central heating, and I am currently trying to shorten my life by imbibing lots of alcoholic drink.
Sunday, I shall clear more leaves. I shall get rid of more of my "library" to charity (thrift) shops. I need to wash the cars and tidy up (a lot).
Boring huh?
It's already tomorrow in Australia so the weekend is half gone. That's no problem, of course, because when you're retired every day feels like a weekend.
I brought Arabella home from the vet. I am now being ignored by her for leaving her there all night. I am also catching up in laundry. And I put the heated mattress pad on my bed. It is suppose to go into the 30's tomorrow night, and I have already woken up because when I changed position while sleeping my feet hit a cold spot.
Tomorrow, my mom and I are taking Skully with us to the fall art festival in my home town.
Not very good ones. Have to try and talk to my Vet this morning to see whether I have to put my Hound to sleep or there is something I can give him to mellow him out. He bit my ex last night pretty good and he's done this before. I wonder sometimes what these rescue groups DON'T tell you when you adopt a dog. He obviously has a neurological problem that I was never told about. Could wind up to be a very sad week-end as I'm heart broken over the thought of having to put him to sleep.
Sorry, I re-posted my answer under Rooster's answer.
I should remember to wake up before getting on this site.
Hi JNicka,
Nothing really special. Meeting some friends in a bit, and then doing some baking for Thanksgiving, we pretty much celebrate that for the whole week.
Nothing planned. Was going to go to a housewarming party today, but it got postponed and now I might not be able to go to the new date. Sucks :(
