Do you watch TV live or do you record programs and fast forward through the commercials? How much time do you save doing that?

The only television program I watch live is news.  Other than that I Pvr anything else I would like to see. It's not about saving time for me ... It's about convenience :) I want what I want when I want it ;)

i like watching my local news ...other than that I get my news from the net aswell ... That wouldn't be convent for me :) I try to avoid public washrooms ... And when I absolutely must pee in public I do the "hover " ... The Televison would distract me from my balancing act ...and I might make contact :/ kooties !!! !

You'll have to work on that concentration. :)

I only have antenna TV and no DVR so I only have local channels with all the commercials.

I gotta confess that we rarely watch a program broadcast live. We've built up a pretty good library and when we want to watch something we dig it out and play it again. We might go through them every three years or so and, since they were all old favourites, we haven't grown tired of them yet.

I do both. I am not trying to save time. It is just some shows come on the same time. So I will watch one live and the other one later.

Hi Dozy,

Well I have not had regular TV since 1997, but I actually would do both!

I loved TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL, so I recorded the programs eliminating the commercials, then could go back whenever and watch them again.     And again...

Wish they had that during the original STAR TREK!

I enjoyed the original series of Star Trek. Haven't seen any of the later ones which is probably my loss. They just didn't crop up here at a time that was convenient for me (there was probably something else I wanted at the same time) so I fell out of the habit. I must check them out.

To be honest ? I don't watch enough TV to really say. I usually only watch commercial free movies and shows. Football and a couple of others have commercials but that's about it. My DVR will fast forward through most commercials but I usually don't bother.

Both

News---I usually want the weather or something else specific.  Fast forward until I get to what I'm interested in.

Some shows I like to watch when they come on.  Other's I record. When you eliminate commercials you save about 15 minutes per hour.

Sometimes more. A lot of the hour shows only run or 40 minutes. Leaves a lot of time for inserting ads and rubbish.
