I can wear boots without looking silly. Spring and Fall are still too warm for boots in FL.

I have never been all the way down the Tamiami. I never has a reason because I live on the other side of the state. Hmm. Time to plan a road trip! I owe my nieces one. Maybe a Florida loop will work.

I think driving the tamiami is for us torists anyway :) but if you get a chance to go to the drum circle ( sunset ceremony ) on siesta key beach ... I highly recommend it :) I know it sounds toruristy ... But it's not at all /.. I've gone over 5 times and always ended up I. The circle dancing :) last time I ended up hula hopping :) it's a trip :)

I may do that. We have been thinking about a going down to Punta Gorda which is about an hour south of Siesta Key. So that could be a good night out.

Well...this is terrible because they can cause floods, but I love the Pineapple Express, a gift from Hawaii to the Pacific raincoast.

They come maybe November through February, all that tropical rain is beautiful and you can walk (and wear your boots), too!

Wait; it was fifteen year officially? And then some areas finally declared drought free after 18 years or so?
HelpStop AnimalAbuse
Hi Virginia, always great to hear from you. The drops actually still going out back areas. A lot of the farmers are mortgaged to the hilt. Whilst we have had a fair bit of rain in the last few days for droughts the break out again here in Australia 🇦🇺. How have you been?

Oh no! Still going in the outback...I looked on Goodsearch, and that drought even has a name now...the Millennium Drought... said to be the worst since Europeans settled there...

And things are okay and good here, getting lots of rain...although only once was it REALLY heavy and I looked online but that was not from a pineapple express!

I hope you noticed, I posted a riddle in your mention! And everybody got it right, too anyway pretty much...

Winter? Snow? Meh! 😛😛😛😛! Not for me! It's cold, it's wet, I gotta put layers and layers of clothes on which makes me sweat before I go outside, then I can't move and walk like a robot cos I got so many clothes on, gotta clean my car off, try not to wreck driving cos it's slippery, I could go on if you like!?

I love all seasons. Each and every season has something to enjoy with if you decide to see everything from different perspective and be also a friend of the nature. Therefore winter has it's own package!

Winter is the only period where you can observe the white display over the city which is unique on it's own. The only season where snowballs pouring down which is a graceful sight to see. Winter can be an excuse for people to gather and attend to fun activities such as building snowman, snowangels or playing with snowballs. Winter makes us feel the value of the blankets in a different way! The touch upon the skin, the warmth and the security it brings is a pleasant experience which exclusively winter owns it. The desire and the  joy of warm based foods increases. The only time you can enjoy your warm cup of coffee, watch a movie while rocking the fireplace and sliding the curtains and observe the image from the inside. The whole perspective belongs to winter. It is the only time we all can have this cute red noses! The only period where we are able to create shapes on the windows and mark the cars outside! This cold season brings an art in a new form! Shaping and creating architectures using snow and ice. The main time and the home of snow based sports. Winter brings fashion! Coats, overcoats, boots, hats, umbrellas and more.

Any season can be awesome if we decide to enjoy it.

Snow is great. Check out the webcams at Lake Louise. Skiing is already in progress. Noise of traffic is deadened. Air is fresh. Nothing could be greater.  (well... Barring a beach in the Caribbean)

I once worked with a guy from Colorado who complained that we don't have any winters in Oz. There's snow in some places but mostly not. Our winters are usually pleasantly warm and sunny.

What's not to like? The weather is cooler, the grass grows more slowly, the night hours are longer, and my new neighbours tend to stay indoors after dark instead of partying outdoors every night.

You're coming on summer as we are aprouching winter , no ?do you see snow in your winter ? I'm a bit ignorant on Aussie winter but I do know we have opposite seasons :)

Sorry, Jaimie, I answered this when you asked but must have cleared the page without saving it.

Winters, for the most part, are warm and sunny. We do have snow areas (including one that starts about 30 km or around 20 miles west of Didgeville). LIke everywhere else the wind off the snow can be cold but it's nothing compared to what you must experience in Canada.

Hi my friend. Hope you are well. Baileys & Hot chocolate is very smooth & creamy & has a fair kick to it after a couple. I wish it was winter here in Australia. It's getting pretty hot already and summer has not even started yet. Great to hear from you.

Hi Hippy,

How are you my good friend. How is Myla?? Still sleeping on your bed. Maddy, Jana and all six dogs are going great guns. Getting pretty warm down here. We just put in a new split system air-conditioner in which set us back about $5000 but it's worth every cent. We can regulate the temperature so the entire house is set at 19°C. most people in Australia cannot believe that Donald Trump is going to be the next president. What are your thoughts?

In my opinion, Trump was the lesser of two evils. It's going to be a wait and see game with his administration.
Staying cool in the heat of the summer is a priority.

No one favourite, as I prefer summer. Lot's of little benefits :-

I don't have to cut the grass.

My neighbours garden doesn't wreak of dog poo as much as it does in the summer.

Fresh snow is always pretty and fun, if I don't go out in it myself then I laugh watching the children play in it. If there is snow this year I'd like to build a snowman. Robins are often easier to spot in winter. Sadly,  the downside to snow is sludge and ice.

Taking hot baths.

Snuggling into my warm bed.

The Christmas lights are pretty.

While there are nominally 4 seasons, North Texas generally has no more than 2---Summer and (what is laughingly called) Winter.

I like the cool weather; and even if I didn't, I would welcome any change from an endless summer.

I like to listen to the rain at night.  (I'd prefer it stop when I need to go to work .... Like in Camelot!)

"The rain may never fall till after sundown

By eight, the morning fog must disappear

In short, there's simply not

A more congenial spot

For happily-ever-aftering than here
In Camelot"
