I love PBS!  It's the only place I can see British productions.  Benedict Cumberbatch is performing one of the BEST Sherlock Holmes ever!  The comedies like Red Dwarf and Mr. Bean have my laughing so hard my sides hurt.

America's Test Kitchen is one of the most educational cooking shows, as they explain the science behind various techniques.  PBS has a lot of good chefs.

Without PBS, I would never have seen Canada's "The Red Green Show."  That would be tragic!  I'd have never known all the uses of the handyman's secret weapon, duct tape.

I cannot sit here long...I'm piecemeal posting up and down and answer what I can if I can. When you asked what was going on here, I thought I was observing more chit-chat than genuine questions looking for answers and the PBS question I felt you thought came under that category since that was where your comment was. When you made ref. to eating Spam raw or cooked, I didn't see that question. Whatever you are calling "spam" on this site is not clear to me...does not compute. I guess I've been too sheltered?

Spam is unwanted content, usually questions posted for advertisement.

Oh, I understand marking unwanted email as spam and unwanted ads but you had asked about eating it cooked or raw and I had seen a picture here with someone's face in a bent can...that's what did not compute...thinking there was some hidden meaning I was not aware of.

I watch Nova once in a while but that's about it. Animal Planet and NatGeo and the Smithsonian channel are much better and enjoyable to watch.

I prefer news, world news, Dateline Mysteries; undercover investigations, Live to Tell, 20/20, 48 Hours, sometimes Hazelton's Housecalls, Jack Hanna's...whatever, Sea Rescue and NCIS. Hubs enjoys Nova, Jack Hanna and more often he likes to watch violence & action packed, escape reality videos. We are so different but alike...make sense?

I don't believe everything I hear but like to stay informed.

I am more interested in food, supplements and medication reports, some of which confirm what I told my hubs over twenty years ago. "New information" has become more of "I told ya so". I had started taking measures at attempts to preserve what little of my brain is left two decades ago. Hubs tries but when he is on the road he doesn't have good choices.

The FDA has become the Fool and Deceive Agency and is not protecting us. This has been my battle cry for over two decades.

No one seems to think about grants given for more research yet ailments, including cancer and mental health are getting worse. The neurodegenerative diseases are are rampant. Cures and quick fixes are sought instead of recognizing an erosion of our brains and bodies has been taking place and it's going to take time to heal if damage is not beyond regeneration.

I've tried to share what I have learned but it sounds so "off the wall" it is hard to believe. I didn't believe all of what I was being told but when I started to apply what I was learning I saw improvement. No more migraines or joint "arthritis" pain.

Our food supply has become toxic to us. When I saw the post by "Johnny" I couldn't help but want to try again...it has been a piecemeal endeavor and I am getting weary. Adhesions from multiple surgeries over thirty years ago and the difficulties they can cause are my only troubles now other than just getting old.

I like EastEnders, although I don't seem to have time to watch it anymore.

I used to watch it with both my mother and grandmother.
