Which movie do you like best: Terminator 2, The Matrix, or Inception? T2 had groundbreaking CGI, Inception had a thought-provoking story, but The Matrix had both groundbreaking CGI and a thought-provoking story, so my pick is the Matrix.
The Matrix, by far. However; the movies that followed within the series lacked both good CGI and good story.
