Johnny Carson was my all time favorite and I used to watch him every night. I rarely watch late night shows any longer, I need my sleep.
My favorite has been Jay Leno. Out of the ones on now I will watch Jimmy Fallon from time to time, but that is it. The thing I liked most about Jay Leno, was even though he made jabs at politicians, he never became political himself. I wish that were true of the hosts now. Stephen Colbert should really just rename his show the "I Hate Trump Show". I get it, but it is just became irritating. There are lots of other people and events to make fun of.
Currently Jimmy Fallon is my favorite, but I can only take so much of his Announcer/co-host . . . There seems to be a lack of chemistry there . . . Not so sure Jimmy picked this guy as might have been hired by NBC administration.
Conan Obrien is pretty fun to watch, and I DO like his Co-host . . . Very funny and great chemistry between the two.
Back in the day I have liked Arsenio Hall on Fox, and for a brief time the Chevy Chase show:
I still enjoy Johnny Carson, and still watch him on "Antennae TV" every night.
I have to add . . . from watching Comedians in Cars getting Coffee , I would LOVE for Jerry Seinfeld to do a late night talk show.
Conan'O Brien hands down. That guy has real humor compared some of the more popular late night show hosts. I love it when he leaves the studio and does a show outside. Does a real job of showing his genuine humor and care towards other people.
Since Leno went off the air, I do enjoy Colbert's monologue. But I'm not much for watching any complete show of the current late-night offerings.
Used to watch Johnny Carson. Then Leno. Now none!!
