When I was a kid my father always took us out to see the Christmas lights, when my daughter was two-and-a-half I took her out one night to see Christmas lights, I said keep your eyes peeled for the Christmas lights, the next thing I know she was crying I said what's the matter honey and she said Mommy I don't want to peel eyes. :)
We try to. There is one house near by that puts the "National Lampoons Christmas Vacation" Mr. Griswold decorated house to shame. 😅 They have so much there are no vacant spots on his lawn, house, roof... Even trickling into the back yard AND the neighbors yard... On both sides this year! There is a tiny locked box by his door that he puts out for donations for his electric bill... It is THAT light! It's a popular house around here.
Use to when kids were young.
My mom always drove us around to see the lights and decorations. I still take my daughter. We live just a few blocks from "Christmas Tree Lane", so we traditionally drive through that as well.
