I believe this song comes from Dub Be Good to Me vs. Beats International, the song with the line 'Tank Fly Boss Walk Jam Nitty Gritty You're Listening to the Boy from the Big Bad City - (and then your bit which is repeated twice) this is jam hot, this is jam hot.  This was a rap line mixed into an existing song.

The original song was performed by Beats International, famous for other songs such as.... Erm yeah... Famous for not much else!  When the rap line was added it was re-released and enjoyed a second lease of life!

The original song involves a female singer who sang over the top of some computer generated beats, the video however features weird people dancing and playing instruments.

If you would like to see the video for this original song, someone has put it on YouTube, you can find it right here:

Actually, it's from Johnny Dynells "Jam Hot" from 1983. You're all wrong.. And Norman Cooke's a biter.

It's true.
I wrote "Jam Hot" in 1983.
Tank, Fly Boss, Walk, Jam and Nitty Gritty were graffiti kids and break dancers back then.
They were "the boys from the big bad city".
It's been sampled and remixed a million times and actually is coming out again Fall 2009.

The Lyrics to the chorus have been copied in a new track by a group called Koolism, the song is actually fantastic. Check it out.
