Richard Wade Farley was born in the year 1948 in Sunnyvale, California. He was basically an employee of a firm called Electromagnetic Systems Labs (ESL) in California. He was basically an American mass murderer who started stalking one of his co-workers by the name of Laura Black. His stalking continued for a period of four years and Laura had to obtain a restraining order against him. He had made numerous advances towards her which she had rejected as he was ten years older than Black. He did not stop and used to leave gifts and cards at her desk. Finally she applied for a permanent restraining order against him to which a court date was given for the hearing.
A day prior to the court date for the final hearing of the permanent restraining order on the 16th of February in the year 1968, Farley drove his motor home to the parking lot of ESL and waited there for Black. At around 3 pm he loaded his both weapons, wore a bullet proof west, inserted ear plugs and walked in the lobby of ESL shooting randomly various people. He then while shooting made his way up to the second floor where Black's office was located. He fired two rounds at her out of which one missed her and the second hit her in the shoulder. AWAT arrived at the scene and after a long battle of 5 hours he was finally injured and survived at the hospital. In 1991 he was sentenced to death.
