The drummer who replaced the late Keith Moon in the famous band The Who was a man by the name of Kenny Jones. Born on August 23rd 1947, Moon was famous as much for his drumming as he was for his wild side of life. He had a passion for his music and an equal passion and a zest for living life to the full. Moon quickly got a reputation for being highly destructive. He would often wreck hotel rooms, homes of his friends and even his own home, often throwing furniture out of high windows and destroying furnishings and fixtures. Moon died at the premature age of 31 on September 7th 1978, having overdosed on the medication that was intended to help him beat his alcohol addiction.
From 1978 to 1983, Jones was the drummer for the Who and although it was a tough act to follow for Jones, his ability to perform as good, if not better than Moon, soon won the fans over. Kenny Jones also played with the Small Faces and The Faces.
