I'd say Bun E. Carlos from Cheap Trick even though it's probably not true lol, but he is great! Except for the fact that he's suing Cheap Trick...
I can't really say about now but Ginger Baker of Cream was one of the best drummers of all time! His drum solo is a classic all on it's own!

The drummer from Def Lepperd, Rick Allen. He's only got one arm but he rocks it!
Probably Neil Peart or Ginger Baker since they are still alive. Some greats who have passed include John Bonham, Keith Moon, Mitch Mitchell and Buddy Rich.
