There are many theories on how david ruffin died, it is mostly believed that he was murdered over a large amount of money he made from a concert tour. Another account says he may have overdosed... But no matter the way he died he turned up in the hospital as a john doe badly bruised and battered... It was about three weeks (if I'm not mistaken) before they found out it was in fact david ruffin.
