The theme of beauty and the beast is that things arent always the way they seem; in other words, one should not be deceived by appearances for beauty lies within. One must rather try to look past wt the eye can see and look inside that person where his/her true personality is found( the beast seems ugly and hideous from the outside but when we tend to look from the inside hes sweet kindhearted and dear,, and on the contrary Gaston is a tall handsome person from the outside but truly hes empty-headed and hes the real beast that we should be scared of and avoided).. Other themes are the significance and power of love and how it changes human,, family sacrifice,, modesty(though the prince had everything his heart desired he was coarse, spoiled and arrogant who lacked modesty which lead to ruin his life by being enchanted and changing into a beast),, people change,,and more AND MOST IMPORTANTLY ONE SHOULD LEARN TO BE CALM AND CONTROL HIS/HER TEMPER..
In every single detail there's a theme and lesson to be learned..

"Beauty and the Beast" is it's own theme. No phrase better describes it. I suppose you could say that the theme is "Love is blind." But that phrase has also described people who are in love with despicable people and that love blinds them to the truth. "Beauty and Beast" says in one simple stroke, that Beautiful people can fall in love with Ugly people when that person has great inner beauty which is revealed through prolonged exposure.

The theme of beauty and the beast is basically like don't judge a book by it's cover. The beast originally is ugly, but under neath, he really is a nice, caring, type of guy.

The theme of beauty and the beast is that things arent always the way they seem and zt we shouldnt be deceived by appearances for beauty is found within.. Rather we must look inside z person and try to look past wt the eye cn see( from the outside the beast is ugly and hideous bt from z inside hes sweet kindhearted and dear while on the contrary Gaston, who is tall and handsome is the real beast on the inside..shocking I no). And some other themes are the power of love and its significance,, family sacrifice,,modesty(the beast had everything his heart desired but was coarse bigheaded and arrogant)..AND MOST IMPORTANTLY ONE SHD REMAIN CALM AND LEARN TO CONTROL HIS/HER TEMPER!! That was the basic problem..
Sry for the slang language and 4 nt putting all z themes because they're many to reveal,,  but unfortunately thats wt I'm capable of writing at z moment!!

The story of Beauty and the Beast is been around for centuries in written and oral form, and recently in film and video. Many experts trace similarities back to stories of Cupid and Psyche, Oedipus and Apuleius' etc. See here for more details and theme:
