If you're looking for a creative name to give your mall, why not have a look at some of the ideas that other people have come up with, to give you some inspiration?

What name to give your mall
You could use a place name, as a lot of malls are simply named after their geographic location.

Examples of this include:

  • "Aventura Mall" in Aventura, Florida
  • "Mall of America" in Bloomington, Minnestoa, which is in... America.
  • "Central Milton Keynes Shopping Centre" located in (you guessed it) Milton Keynes, UK.
If using a place name sounds boring, why not pick a name that conjures a positive image, instead? If you're going for this sort of name, I'd recommend using a word that's strong, memorable and epic, though.

Here are a few examples:

  • "Destiny USA" in Syracuse, New York.
  • "The Oracle" in Reading, UK.
  • "Eden" in High Wycombe, UK.
  • "Cosmos Mall" in Kundanahalli, India.
Finally, although a lot of malls are glass and concrete buildings erected in ex-parking lots on the edge of town, many of them are given names that refer to nature, or which make it sound as if they're located in the middle of an idyllic field.

Here's a list of malls that have names inspired by nature:

  • "Bluewater" in Greenhithe, UK.
  • "Westfield Garden State Plaza" in Paramus, New Jersey.
  • "Sun City Mall" in Cairo, Egypt.
