The original cast of Home and Away included Kate Ritchie as Sally Fletcher and Ray Meagher as Alf Stewart. Kate was born on 14 August, 1978 in Goulburn, New South Wales. In 1986, Ritchie was the child lead Molly in Cyclone Tracy, a mini series. She has featured in a number of commercials and has been involved with the Campbelltown Musical Society. After breaking up with her boyfriend, Chris Walker, she started living alone in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. At the 2006 TV Week Logie Awards, Ritchie won the award (Silver Logie) For Most Popular Actress. Ray Meagher was born in Roma Queensland on 4 July, 1944. Meagher was raised on a cattle and sheep station in Queensland before attending school from the age of nine. He first made an appearance on television as a host of a musical show Around Folk. He has also made appearances in films like Newsfront, My Brilliant Career, The Chant Of Jimmie Blacksmith and Breaker Morant.
