His idea of a perfect place is back in the country, away from the big city and towns. Not having to worry of getting jumped, or carrying a blade, and messin up his life. He hopes to bring his parents back to life,  and maybe have a dog, and Soda can have his horse Mickey Mouse back, and Darry won't be hard and cold anymore. He remembers his mother being golden and beautiful. Ponyboy hopes his mother could bake more chocolate cakes at his perfect place, and his Father would compliment Darry on being a chip off the block. Last, Johnny could live with them  and the  gang would visit. (just finished reading outsiders) check pg. # 48 in book.

I just finished reading this book today and I am pretty sure his idea for a perfect place is  on a farm where soda can get Mickey Mouse back and Darry can relax instead of working so far. It says that somewhere in the book, I think where he is in the vacant lot with Johnny before the murder scene.
