This is the month of Tebeth in Israel.  It is cold, rainy, and definitely Winter.  If there is a deeper reason for you question Such as is it likely this is the time of the birth of Jesus I would be happy to provide two alternative answers to that time as well.  Suffice it to say I think facts indicate that Jesus was born sometime within the time period of Rosh Hashanna, (feast of trumpets/ one of two Jewish New Years) and Sukkot (tabernacles) which is about a 15 day window.  There are arguments for both.  There are also some who contend he was born in Nissan, the same month he was later crucified at the time of passover.  But Rosh Hashanna or Sukkot make more sense in my studies and if this is so and we were to back up nine months from his birth to the time of his conception that would put us right at the time we choose to celebrate his birth.  Hope this helps.
