The Game is an American comedy/drama TV series that was created by Mara Brock Akil and producer by Frasier's Kelsey Grammer. It premiered October 1, 2006 and is a spinoff of the sitcom, Girlfriends. Although The Game was cancelled after 3 seasons on the CW network in 2009, a deal was struck by BET with the shows parent company, CBS, to develop new episodes. Production moved from LA to Atlanta and the fourth season hit the air on January 11, 2011.
